The importance of European Mobility Week 2023

The European Mobility Week is coordinated by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. This initiative aims to inform both policy makers and citizens about the benefits to public health and the environment associated with the use of more sustainable modes of transport, specifically public transport, such as buses.

This week, from the 16th to the 22nd, 2023, it is celebrated throughout the European Union. In the city of Barcelona, during the weekend of September 16 and 17, 2023, all citizens are invited to discover how the city’s different transport systems work, through guided tours of the equipment and services that work for the city. sustainable mobility, such as, for example, the TRAM depots or the Renfe train driver training center.

If you would like to sign up for the weekend program in Barcelona, you can do so through the following link

The European Mobility Week ends on September 22 with the event “World Car Free Day” or “Car Free Day” whose objective is to find new solutions to the increase in traffic in European cities.

At Turbo3 we recognize the importance of using transport responsibly, so as suppliers of turbos for many forms of transport, such as buses, we know the importance of public transport for the environment.
On the other hand, we are aware that not all citizens have access to public transportation, and there are those who are forced to travel with private vehicles. For this reason, at Turbo3 we work to offer the best services and products to our customers, and as distributors of the largest turbocharger manufacturers, we apply the most advanced technology with which we work, directly reducing the emissions emitted by vehicles through of their turbos, which has an incredibly positive impact.

Keeping the turbocharger in good condition, or installing a new one, provides a series of positive advantages regarding environmental impact, among which the following stand out:

  • Improved Energy Efficiency; This means that smaller engines now save more fuel, becoming high-performance engines.
  • Direct injection engines optimize combustion efficiency and minimize both unburned fuel and contaminants.
  • Emission control systems; Turbochargers have catalytic converters and exhaust gas recirculation systems that help further reduce harmful emissions such as nitrogen oxides or carbon monoxide.
  • Turbochargers can be combined with start-stop systems, which reduce emissions and fuel consumption by avoiding unnecessary energy use and improving the vehicle’s energy efficiency.
  • Turbochargers have advanced engine management, which means they can adapt to driving conditions in real time and optimize engine performance, reducing emissions in different parameters.
  • Hybridization: Turbocharged engines can be integrated into hybrid propulsion systems and work together with electric motors; This system is especially effective when driving at low speeds.
  • Turbo manufacturers are working to develop cleaner-burning engines to meet vehicle emissions standards, reducing turbocharger emissions.

If you would like to know more about how to reduce your vehicle’s consumption, contact our team of professionals and discover how we can improve the performance of your engine.
